In the Eye of the Rock’n’Roll Hurricane

A lot of “theatre” for extraordinary photographs

The idea to turn the Lightpower Collection into an exhibition tour was born during the Lightpower Open Days in May 2014. Neal Preston’s first solo exhibition in Europe was shown there and met with a lot of interest. The director of the Iserlohn Theatre “JoJo” Jostmann was so enthusiastic that he immediately saw the possibility of staging a larger exhibition at the Parktheater in Iserlohn – this was to be the first stop on the exhibition’s tour.

More than 40 large-format works were shown on 500 square meters, perfectly lit and staged. The stories behind the images could be listened to on twelve headphone stations, authentically told by “The Voice” of the Lightpower Collection team, Paul Gough.

During the vernissage, to which patrons, sponsors and many art and rock’n’roll friends were invited, there was also the opportunity to take a personal tour with Paul.

Also present was the 16-year-old exceptional talent Edward “Fast Eddie” Christie-Bennett, who impressed the visitors with selected guitar parts and is also part of the Lightpower Collection team.

As a special highlight, the well-known band “Luxuslärm” did the guests the honour of playing a set specially tailored to Neal Preston’s photos and particularly inspired them.

More than 2000 visitors took the opportunity to visit Neal Preston’s exhibition. They encouraged the Lightpower Collection to embark on an international tour with the exhibition, the proceeds of which will go to the “Behind the Scenes” foundation.
