The Rolling Stones – “Let it Bleed” – Deluxe Edition - Illustrated Book

The Rolling Stones – “Let it Bleed” – Ethan Russell– Deluxe Edition

The Rolling Stones, Altamont and the end of the Sixties. In the history of rock ‘n’ roll, 1969 was a turning point. This year, Ethan A. Russell was one of the very few to accompany the Rolling Stones on their “Let-It-Bleed” tour through the USA. And he always had his camera with him. In hotel rooms, at rehearsals, backstage. His pictures and texts provide a look behind the scenes and convey an uncensored impression of the Stones world and the rock ‘n’ roll circus of those years. Russell’s photographs capture magical moments – right up to the tragic concert in Altamont with which the band ended their US tour and which is now considered a disillusioning key event of the Love & Peace generation.

Let it Bleed is a book that not only celebrates one of the band’s best albums of all time — with hits like “Gimme Shelter” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” — but also a powerful moment between two charismatic decades that brought big changes.

The deluxe edition is limited to 750 copies and includes an 11″ x 17″ SILVER GELATIN black and white print by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, signed and hand-numbered by author Ethan Russell.
