The story of this legendary festival is told through documentary footage by iconic photographer Henry Diltz.
What makes it unique is that it is told by four contemporary witnesses who were among the leading figures of the Woodstock crew at the time. They were the direct team of Michael Lang (RIP), the organizer and “face” of Woodstock.
They tell their story of Woodstock, of the difficulties of getting the festival off the ground against the will of the authorities, of the chaos during its implementation and the happy outcome with an unplanned 500,000 visitors, only 50,000 of whom had a ticket.
They talk about love, peace, and music, but also about the traumatic events of the time that led to the founding of the peace and hippie movement. Although all this happened 55 years ago, it is more relevant than ever in terms of its mindset.
Despite their advanced age, the four protagonists are stillin top shape and have created an entertaining and exciting program whose message also takes the younger generation on an incredible journey.

The Rolling Stones – “Let it Bleed” – Deluxe Edition - Illustrated Book
The Rolling Stones, Altamont and the end of the Sixties. In the history of rock ‘n’ roll, 1969 was a turning point. This year, Ethan A. Russell was one of the very few to accompany the Rolling Stones on their “Let-It-Bleed” tour through the USA. And he always had his camera with him. In hotel rooms, at rehearsals, backstage. His pictures and texts provide a look behind the scenes and convey an uncensored impression of the Stones world and the rock ‘n’ roll circus of those years. Russell’s photographs capture magical moments – right up to the tragic concert in Altamont with which the band ended their US tour and which is now considered a disillusioning key event of the Love & Peace generation.
Let it Bleed is a book that not only celebrates one of the band’s best albums of all time — with hits like “Gimme Shelter” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” — but also a powerful moment between two charismatic decades that brought big changes.
The deluxe edition is limited to 750 copies and includes an 11″ x 17″ SILVER GELATIN black and white print by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, signed and hand-numbered by author Ethan Russell.
An incredible 420-page book, hand-sewn and bound, with photos taken during the 1969 historic tour that included Altamont. The Deluxe version comes in a noble folding box and was created using high-quality materials.
Ethan Russell is a multi-Grammy nominated photographer, director, and writer. He photographed covers for the Beatles “Let It Be”, “Hey Jude” – “The Rolling Stones Honky Tonk Women”, “Through The Past Darkly” – “The Who Who’s Next” and “Quadrophenia”.
