The Rock’n’Roll Hurricane in Sin City

After the great success of the “In the Eye of the Rock’n’Roll Hurricane” exhibition at its previous venues, the new edition at the LDI Show in Las Vegas was no less enthusiastic.

After Paderborn, Iserlohn, Frankfurt and Montreux, Las Vegas is the fifth stop where the exhibition was shown on its tour, again on over 1000 square meters. In addition to the works known from previous exhibitions, there were also some new acquisitions of the Lightpower Collection on display, which underline the breadth of the collection and have never been exhibited before. For example, a pensive Aretha Franklin, a meditating Leonard Cohen or Möetly Crüe quite casually backstage.

Around 5,000 visitors came to see these unique testimonies of lived rock’n’roll history. Neal Preston was overwhelmed by the response and the number of visitors:

“I want to express myself for the most professional and emotionally moving … weekend I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I’m still looking for the right words to explain to the people around me what it meant to me – but I just can’t do it. My dictionary just doesn’t have words for it.”

The entire exhibition was made possible by the generous commitment of numerous sponsors. First and foremost, the LDI itself and the long-standing Lightpower partner A.C.T. Lighting, who presented the exhibition as co-hosts and have worked extremely hard in the course of the preparations to master this mammoth task of the Lightpower Lighting Association.

At the beginning of the exhibition, the Lightpower Collection once again presented a check, this time for $25,000, to “Behind the Scenes”, which advocates for event technicians in need in our industry. The Lightpower Collection operates under non-profit principles and donates all proceeds from sales of fine art prints and merchandise to the foundation.
