This photo exhibition is a must-see for rock fans: „LEGENDS OF ROCK ’N’ ROLL” – June 5 through October 4 at stilwerk Hamburg (4th floor, across from the Udoversum). Admission is free.
Presented by Limelight Gallery, the exhibition features iconic rock photographs by the world’s most renowned photographic artists. Neal Preston, Bob Gruen, Henry Diltz, and other exceptional photographers have chronicled the history of rock music over decades—and helped shape it through their images. Photos of Queen, John Lennon, Led Zeppelin, and Woodstock legends have long been part of the collective rock memory.
Limelight Gallery Managing Director Wolfgang Lücke: “These photographs make the hearts of rock music fans beat faster: they are images that perfectly capture the spirit of rock ’n’ roll while also representing timeless photographic art. The location in stilwerk, the mecca of design and furniture, is fitting—and the proximity to the Udoversum is simply perfect. Anyone who loves Udo will also love this exhibition.”
A particular highlight of the exhibition is the photography of Neal Preston. In its latest issue, the music magazine “Rolling Stone” pays tribute to this exceptional American photographer in an extensive photo spread, calling him a “chronicler of the golden days of rock.”
