Presented by Limelight Gallery, the exhibition features iconic rock photographs by the world’s most renowned photographic artists. Neal Preston, Bob Gruen, Henry Diltz, and other exceptional photographers have chronicled the history of rock music over decades—and helped shape it through their images. Photos of Queen, John Lennon, Led Zeppelin, and Woodstock legends have long been part of the collective rock memory.

The Limelight Gallery exhibition at stilwerk Hamburg is moving to a new location within the building. You can now find our photographs and books on the ground floor. This larger exhibition space offers even more room for extraordinary imagery and iconic moments from music history.

Bob Gruen
Bob Gruen is one of the most renowned chroniclers of the rock and punk scene. His iconic photographs of John Lennon, the Sex Pistols, The Clash, Blondie, and the Ramones shaped the image of an entire generation.
Henry Diltz
Henry Diltz documented the music and counterculture of the 1960s and 1970s like no other photographer.
