"There are two montages here. One by Janis Joplin and one by Robbie Krieger and Jim Morrison of The Doors. The photos of Janis were taken in Toronto in 1970. During a concert series called "The Festival Express", the Festival Express was conceived as a kind of rolling concert on a train that would travel across Canada and stop in different cities. People were playing a concert and getting back on the train."

"The opening night was in Toronto and I was there for the photo shoot. That's where I shot these four different photos of Janis Joplin, which were put together into a long strip. The photos of The Doors were taken in the same year, 1970, at Madison Square Garden. They are actually two separate photos, one of Jim and one of Robbie Krieger. I put it together into a long strip." -NEAL
